Kolegji-AAB (AAB-XK)
AAB College, the largest non-public higher education institution in Kosovo and the Western Balkans, has been providing programs in social sciences, medical sciences, linguistics, computer sciences, sports, and arts since 2000. The project team is led by Dr. Xhavit Rexhaj, an expert with over three decades of experience in education research, development, and management, overseeing Work Packages 1, 2, 5, and 7. Dr. Arbëresha Qerimi, a specialist in management and market analysis with numerous scientific publications, will lead Work Package 3. Dr. Arbërore Bicaj, a professor with expertise in qualitative research, teacher development, and early childhood education, will lead Work Package 4. Erëza Mehmeti, a PhD candidate in Educational Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, will lead Work Package 6. She has served as an International Office Coordinator and Project Officer for about seven years and has been actively engaged in the dissemination activities of various international events. The team will implement a case study in Kosovo and contribute to all other Work Packages.

Dr. Xhavit Rexhaj
Team Leader
Born in 1964, he is an education expert with over 35 years of experience in higher education, research, policy development, and curriculum design in Kosovo. He has held key roles, including Head of the Department of Education and Science (2002-2006) and Deputy Minister (2020-2021) at the Ministry of Education, as well as teaching at the University of Pristina and AAB College. He conducted postdoctoral research at CUNY and UCLA (2015-2016) and holds a PhD (2016) in constructivist education, along with master's degrees in education (2011) and English literature (2009) from the University of Pristina. His research spans teacher qualifications, higher education reform, curriculum development, and education quality, with projects funded by the EU, USAID, Austrian ADA, and others. A former member of Kosovo’s State Quality Council (2017-2019), he currently serves on the State Council for Teacher Licensing. He has also contributed to voluntary school support initiatives and animal protection efforts.
