Maria Grzegorzewska University

The Maria Grzegorzewska University (MGU-Akademia Pedagogiki Specjalnej), established in 1922 in Warsaw, has approximately 7,000 students enrolled in various programs in psychology, sociology, pedagogy, special education, social work, artistic education. The project work is done in close cooperation with the Institute of Social Studies at the University of Warsaw (ISS-UW). The team includes Prof. Renata Siemieńska-Żochowska – sociologist (Chair of Sociology of Social Change, MGU, head of Center of Gender Studies – ISS UW), with long experience in comparative studies on values (e.g. World Values Survey, studies on higher education, functioning of local communities), Prof. Ilona Matysiak (MGU & ISS UW) and Dr. Dagmara Szczepańska, Dr. Justyna Zielińska, Prof. Duch-Krzystoszek and Mrs. Małgorzata Kamińska (MGU, primary contact for the project). The team implements two case studies in Poland and contributes to all other WPs.
