As part of its continued engagement in national discussions on education and youth development, the EDU-LAB project was presented during the professional symposium "From Reading to Understanding: Challenges, Practices and Policies", organized by ETEA and Albas on the occasion of the International Book Day. The symposium gathered more than 250 participants, including education experts, researchers, teachers, school directors, and representatives of educational institutions across Kosovo.

The event focused on one of the key challenges facing the education system in Kosovo: students' reading comprehension skills and the broader implications for learning outcomes and educational development. Discussions throughout the symposium highlighted the importance of strengthening educational policies, curriculum development, teacher capacities, and classroom practices to support meaningful learning and literacy development among young people.

The coordinator of the EDU-LAB project from AAB College, Prof. ass. Dr. Xhavit Rexhaj, participated in the discussions and presented the project's broader commitment to supporting evidence-based educational development and fostering dialogue on youth learning pathways, educational aspirations, and institutional realities in Kosovo and the wider region. The event also provided an important opportunity to connect EDU-LAB's research and policy-oriented approach with ongoing national debates on educational quality and inclusion.

The symposium brought together diverse perspectives from policy, academia, publishing, and educational practice, contributing to a constructive exchange of ideas and concrete recommendations for improving educational outcomes in Kosovo.

This event reflects EDU-LAB's broader dissemination approach, in which partner institutions engage with national stakeholder communities throughout the project lifecycle. AAB College's active participation in Kosovo's education policy dialogue contributes to the project's aim of ensuring that its research on youth transitions from education to employment is informed by, and remains connected to, the institutional realities and ongoing debates in each partner country.
